What a way to begin the month than with SNOW! Nothing screams Decemeber like snow!!!
Today is my husband's Gr'mas 86th birthday. We love her so very much!!!!

I have had a total of 14 orders on Etsy. YAY me!
I really am hoping that they continue this way!! I am also hoping to do a give away beofre Christmas! Not sure what to do... any ideas? Andrea took some really cute pictures of Hayden in her Halloween costume and I just made a super cute bright purple / pink tutu  with glitter.
I hope to remember to blog more often.....

I finished the Lady Bug TuTu... my pictures did not come out very well. I hope that Andreas do. I think that red is a hard color to photograph. Cadence got to wear her Alice costume on Saturday to the Library. She looks just like Alice in Wonderland.

I just sold 3 items to one lady!!! YAY!!!! I couldn't believe it. I was so excited. So my total on Etsy is coming up :)

I love this time of year... Everything is cool & crisp!! And you get to burn the best smelling candles!!! I am think about having a giveaway around Christmas time, something to maybe get more ppl following my blog! Not sure yet. I'm going to look up a few other blogs to see what they have done.

TuTus & Harvest Fun.....

I just finished up with the cutest Halloween LadyBug TuTu for Miss Hayden. Cannot wait to see her mom's wonderful pictures of her in it. Plus I just received another order for the pink birthday TuTu.

It has to be my #1 seller. I also have had ones that people want with jewels on them ... very princessy as well! I got a new vintage looking dress forum to take pictures with so I hope that will up the sales. (Better pictures!) I am also looking at a new design for headbands and hair bows the cabbage rosettes. I love them so I am going to try my hand at them within the week hopefully. I really wish that life would permit for me to have 1 solid day to do nothing but craft, take pictures, edit pictures, blog and post. :) I do love my life & all those in it.

With the Fall officially here its time for the annual Harvest Parties and Halloween bashes. We attended one tonight hosted by our frineds' Jon & Val's Church. We did a bunch of games, wagon rides, costume contest, hayride, chili dinner, and smores with marshmallow the size of a small child's head! I could only eat 1/4 of mine and this is coming from a SMORE LOVER!!!!! I love me some Smores!


Well.... its getting late and I need to fold some laundry before church in the morning.

Halloween

Life has been life again. Crazy busy with working and family :) which I cannot complain. I love my job and my family.
Halloween is coming up and I have an order for a darling LadyBug TuTu for Miss Hayden. Which I am working on right now. I sold 2 TuTu's that have rhinestones on them they were so adorable.

We had family pictures dome about 2 mths ago. They came out wornderful...... Cadence is loving Kindergarten and Tap/ Ballet classes.

Both of our families came out to have pictures done with us. It was so great. Scotts Grandma is going to be 86 this December. So is so beautiful.

I'm really hoping to get some more orders soon. Hopefully I will be in a vendor thing again at the first of the year ...fingers crossed!

Vender Sale

Hi everyone.... I realize it has been almost 2 months since I have posted something on here. Life has been..... LIFE! I have 3 TuTu sales and 1 dog TuTu sale all within 12 hours of each other. All thanks goes to The South Whitley Public Library for inviting me to be one of the vendors at the Vender Sale last Saturday. It really helped me get my name out there.

I'm working on a bunch of Halloween Ideas and really hope to get this business going.

Cadence turned 6 at the beginning of August & started Kindergarten a week ago. I miss her dearly when I am home without her! She is getting so big & beautiful.

My friend Andrea did our family pictures last weekend.... everyone is so excited to see them! She does an awesome job!!! I will post some when we get them :)

So I have sold my 2nd item on etsy. It was another one of the double fluff TuTus. Plus the one that I sold to my friend Andrea was featured in her photoshoot with her birthday girl Miss Hayden.

Cards!

I finally got some business cards.... I was so excited! I found them really cheap at vistaprint. They had the cutest design ever! It kind of looks like the background here on the blog. I have 33 fans on Facebook. I was able to get a facebook Fan page address. {www.facebook.com/tootlestutus } Now to get the orders rolling in a little more!

I made a Tutti Fruity TuTu for a friend's soon- to- be -here granddaughter Emma. Way fun!

It has been very busy with work and holidays around here. We are soooo ready for a vaca!!!

Double Layered TuTu

Hello all!!!! Yes you are seeing right... 3 posts within a week of each other! I know.. its hard to believe it myself. I just finally have a few minutes of down time and I have a lot of catching up to do! Hopefully within the next week or so me and a fellow blogger/crafter will be doing a give away. WOW!

So I have become one of the Etsy Kids Members..yay!!!
I have an order for a TuTu from a friend! Sadly none yet from Etsy. But the wow part... I had 2 ppl last week look at my facebook page and this week...are you ready for it ....... 22!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it?! CRAZY! I am soooo excited!

Anyways. The TuTu I am making is way to cute. It is a double layered TuTu. Which means double to tulle double the puff. I will post pics once I get it done. Cadence lost another top tooth last weekend and was learning to ride without training wheels this past weekend. Everyday she continues to amazing me. God truly gave me one of his best pieces of work :)

Esty Groups & loopy bows!

So I have still sold zip,zero,Nada... on etsy.com...... So I decided to join a group. Etsy Kids. Its a very cool group. They have their own magazine and lots of super cool ideas/products. I got an email today stating that I had one more step to do and I could join their club!!!!!! yay! Maybe then I will start to get some more orders. I have gotten a few here and there from friends and co-workers. Which is awesome! So we will see! I need to work on my banner and pictures a bit more!

I had an order for a hair bow that looks like a Christmas bow.

sooo long!

So it has been forever since I have blogged! Life has been crazy With the help of my RFL team we organized a Run for a member who passed away from cancer last August! Cadence has been busy with dance & school, I with work and Cadence  and Scott with work and college!!! I did happen to sell $50 in products in the last month which is up from the zero the month before. I hope to get new pics up and will blog more often! Headbands & Bows

So I have been on Etsy.com for about 2-3 wks now and ......... nothing! Yep! Not one sale! Tons of looking but no buying! uuugggghhhhhhhh!!!!! Seriously, come on people! What am I doing wrong?!

Anyways, I am loving the warm, nice, sunny weather! Cannot get enough of it!

We have been playing outside all the time and having so much fun together. Then it hits me .... she goes to school - Elementry school- next year. This is our last summer together before she is truly a big girl! Then the tears come flooding until I have given myself a headache. I can't help myself its way to much for me to take in. Please tell me that I am not the only one that this has happened too?! I don't want my princess to grow up. Even typing this I'm getting teary-eyed!

So... I will stop now & head into the kitchen to tackle the sink full of dishes! :) Happy Easter to everyone & God Bless.

So I am now up and on Etsy.com
Slowly but surely! Hopefully I will sell something soon. I have a fun new hair bow style that I just made and I put 2 of them and 1 TuTu on Etsy.

This TuTu is not up on Etsy yet... I just loved the picture of Cadence! As you can see she just lost her 3rd tooth! We also had Kindergarden Round-Up this past Wednesday. With all of the budget cuts & job loss for the teachers it really makes you worry about the future of your kids' education. We are crossing our fingers for 1/2 day Kindergarden!!!!!

She was so great about letting me take her pictures over & over. Because you really have no idea how they will turn out until you come inside and put them on the computer. Then I ran into the problem that my pics were too big..ugh.... I didnt want to download anything to my computer so I searched and found an awesome tool!!! webresizer.com.... its wonderful you can do tons of things with it.

Pillow Case Dress

After long hours and days of thinking and research I have finally decided that Tootles TuTus & Whimsical Designs will now only have TuTus, retro Girly outfit (such as the pillowcase dress pictured) ,other girly retro things  (ex: pillows, signs and aprons) and candle wraps.

Not to say that here and there I wont make a stitched sign or other primitive things upon request. But I felt , along with a very wise friend, that my 'shop' offered too wide of a products.

Now on to my newest product!!!! My latest and cutest one so far..... The pillow case dress. I find that it is so hard to locate a cute summer dress that is something my daughter can wear all summer..... not to mention years! Yep... the pillowcase dress ( I didnt actully use a pillow case) can fit 3T up until they are 7 years old!! Just put leggings or tights under it. Cadence even asked me if I would make her a tank top with the same style. It is so cute!!!! I can do any print or color that you can find. We have decided that the ribbon is a tid bit long on hers right now but I wasnt sure and wanted to make sure we had enough.

So needless to say that this is a great/wise purchase since you can get years of use from it!!! Just let me know if you would like one.

Birthday Fun!

My husband & I have birthdays in January and 11 days apart!!! For a birthday gift he took me to see JAKE OWEN!!! Scott, Cadence & I all love him and this was Scott & I's 3rd time seeing him. And just for an extra bonus Scott got us meet & greets with Jake afterwards. Needless to say I was excited! He is soooo dreamy! lol....

Cadence was not happy that she was not going! So we took her picture with us in hopes that he might sign it.. and he did!!!!!!!!!! Then he said to let him take his picture with her picture so that she could have one too!!! He is the most down to earth guy ever ( and a smile that makes you melt!)

It was by far one of the best birthdays EVER!!!!

Now personal info.....
My Aunt Linda (My Dad's Brother's wife) passed away today. Just recently did she get diagnosed with a rare liver disease. She was IU Med Center in Indy since Dec 9th waiting on a Liver Transplant. She was only 58 and other than this sudden problem a very healthy woman. It has hit my Uncle and my Dad really hard. We are all very upset but they seem beyond themselves with it. So I do ask for your prayers for our entire family.

Let it snow, let it snow......

I don't know about you but around this time of year I get cabin fever. As long as its not bone-chilly out we go out and play in the snow. One thing that we as a family are going to do this year is eat healthier and get out and 'play/exercise.'
To keep with that I felt the need to shovel the drive way by hand and now I can feel it in my middle back muscles!!! Not sure how that will work out in the morning!!!!
Since we got a bunch new snow/ice these past days I have made a primitive snowman.
And I was trying out my new sewing machine and I made a cute little star pillow!
Working on a few candle wraps- I will make sure I get them up as I get them done. {But for some reason today the site is not letting me up load!! So I will post them asap!!!} Still trying to time myself on everything. I had 2 orders for TuTu's over the holidays and they were given as gifts... The girls won't stop wearing them!!! :)
